The smallest feline is a masterpiece.
-- Leonardo da Vinci

She passed away in early spring

Quietly before the dawn.

A sweet, faithful little thing

She lingered restless and wan

Until death came with kind care

And to heaven she was conveyed.

Angels bade her linger there

Where memories never fade.

My sweet Raisin is still mine.

She will always be with me...

My loving faithful feline.

Her fine spirit is now free.

Eternal joy she will find

In heaven's fields high above.

In my heart and in my mind

She will always feel my love...

For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them; as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.
-- Ecclesiastes 3:19

Raisin was the beloved cat of my dear friend Linda Parker. Preceded in death by her two kittens, Cupcake and Muffin, Raisin is survived by her daughter Lulu. If you would like to share a memory of your own departed pet, you are welcome to leave a message in the guestbook below.
