| Robert "Bobby" Klepper, who passed away on February 2, 2000, was a silent film historian and author of two outstanding books, Silent Films on Video (1996) and Silent Films, 1877-1996 : A Critical Guide to 646 Movies (1999). Mr. Klepper was deeply committed to the cause of silent film preservation and presentation. He funded the transferal of several silent features from film stock onto video tape. He wrote numerous articles and video reviews covering the silent era and was a regular contributor to the classic film publication, Classic Images. |
